The Berea College Archives has been selected to develop and host the Archives Leadership Institute for three years, 2016 – 2018 by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC).

ALI at the SAA/CoSA Joint Meeting ARCHIVES 2013

A couple ALI events are being planned during the Society of American Archivists'/Council of State Archivists Joint Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA, August, 2013. Since the SAA hotel reservation block has been published, please keep these upcoming events in mind as you make your arrangements: 

Saturday, August 17, 2013, 6-9 pm: The ALI Alumni Reception and Dinner
Please join us at the Archives Leadership Institute Alumni Reception to meet the 2013 Cohort and to reconnect with ALI alumni over dinner and drinks.  Additionally, alumni will present a tribute to ALI 2008 Alumna Taronda Spencer.  The reception will be held at Ralph & Kacoo’s (519 Toulouse St  New Orleans, LA 70130), located just blocks from the Hilton Riverside.  Cost is $35 per person and there will be a cash bar. This event is open to ALI alumni, plus guest.  Register along with your SAA Annual Meeting Registration Form, or separately by calling the SAA office at 866-722-7858.

Sunday, August 18, 2013 8am - 12pm: The ALI Practices Workshop
The Archives Leadership Institute is hosting the 2013 ALI Practices Workshop.  This workshop, led by ALI Facilitator Luther Snow, will focus on applying leadership strategies to real world projects in order to provide a facilitated outlet for leaders to recharge. Attendance is open to ALI alumni and current year participants.
